Creativity Self-Care
I have been diving into writing again and into IT as well. My goal is to increase the days that I spend time focused on writing, even if it is just for 20min. When I do manage to create a new work or add to an older work, I feel energized and more at peace. IT work is just plane fun. I am in process of fixing my home desktop. Removing the corrupt OS’s, updating and installing a new dual boot that actually has room to operate both systems. To assist on the writing front I have joined a local writers group, called the Rainbow Writers. As the name implies…

Ellection 2024
Well, what a shitshow. I can’t say as I am completely shocked. I mean, I expected it to be really close. What I did not expect is his orangeness, the supreme leader of fucktardery to win by as large a margin as he did. To add salt to the gaping wound, not only did he win, but the Senate is now red and the House remained just as red as it was before. Which means not only do we have a narcissistic, racist, rapist, felon of a fascist for a president, but we have a bent congress that is more christian nationalist than democratic that will put forth anti-lgbt, anti-women’s…

Boxes
We have all heard the term “thinking outside the box”. Well, I want to expand on that. If you look at your individual ideology, your beliefs, that is a box. It is where your limits are set, the place where you are most comfortable. Everyone has their own box. The question I have is, was the box built by nature or nurture? I think perhaps both, but like the individual, there is a variation of the ratio between the two. Some have more box built by society, while other have more built by their nature. There is also some harmony between the two, most times. Where there is an issue…

BBF Birthday
My Best Bear Friend came into town for his annual birthday time share in Tahoe. It was great to see him. So much has changed in our dynamic. Much for the better, some for the not as great. The best part is that we are still best friends after another man has entered his life. We are still best friends with benefits as well. Our relationship has evolved into a more comfortable relationship that is truly more focused on friendship and support of each other. In some ways I miss the hot to trot spontainious sex. We still endulge, but not as encompassing as it was. I know it is…

Social Media Disappointment
Part of why I have not been nearly as active in social media is because of the divisive nastiness of so many people on these platforms. I like and love all of my friends on them, regardless of political or ideological affiliation. I just get sick of all the fighting and intolerance. I am going to share a story. Many years ago, there was this group of US sailors that came into port in a foreign country. They were hungry and wanted to explore, see the culture, and find some authentic food. They went into this establishment where the owners spoke no English. The only other group of patrons in…

9/11
I remember this day, twenty-one years ago, and how it profoundly affected me. I had just arrived at work at the power plant. The whole off-going shift was in the control room with a contraband TV on the desk. I saw contraband because they were prohibited in the control rooms of the power plants in my company. They all had stunned looks on their faces and asked if I had heard. I hadn’t. I saw the report on the TV and the first thing I thought was instrument failure or pilot error. Then I watched the second plane hit and my stomach dropped. I knew. This was an attack, an…

For Post’s Sake
So here I am, posting, hoping to unstop the writer’s block I am experiencing. I never can get to this blog when I think of something to post, or when I do my ADD kicks in and I end up fixing or tweaking the site more because I see something I want changed, and while I am doing that I see something else as I am researching or opening apps to do the work and get pulled that way, which inturn leads me to something far more interesting and important, like the migrant habits of the North American bushy tailed squirrel. Yes, “SQUIRREL!!” I am back to work after a…

Relaunch
Like I mentioned before, this is not your traditional blog, really it is marginally a blog at that. I rarely post. Most of my posts are for my benefit. This blog is about me, and may stroke my ego, inflate my delusions, and maybe even not be worthy of a read. HEY WAIT, this is a blog!! I have moved this blog, revamped it a bit and am relaunching at this time. There will be no guaranteed fresh content and there will be no scheduled or timely posts to thrill and entertain you. If you like to read a sarcastic dude’s take on life in general, have a morbid sense…

A Visit from a Friend
So my Bear Friend is visiting. He actually lives a few hours away, so visits are few. When he can, he will come up for a visit and it makes my day. Hanging out doing guy things is rare for me and when we get together, we have a great time. No topic is off limits and we both try to fix the world! LMAO. It’s fun because he is more liberal and I am more conservative, yet, hold on to your socks, we actually get along and respect each other. We both wish the rest of the country could be the same way. Don’t get me wrong, there is…

Growing Into My Self Realization
Alright, so it has been some time since I accepted my self COMPLETELY as a bisexual male, and identified more as a gay Bear for what I have to call my gay side. One disturbing thing that I have run into in this culture of enlightenment in the GBLTQ+++ community is an unacceptance of the bisexual male as a contributing and caring part of the community. It isn’t an overall feeling from all, but it seems to be prevalent in online gay groups and forums. See, the thing is with me, I truly am split. I desire women for women’s sake and men for men’s sake. I really have no…
